Why did I sign up? Because of FanDuel's persistent commercials on ESPN, and since I already play season-long baseball and football, why not?
Back in September 2014, I deposit $25. I put together a lineup and entered it in cash game with an entry fee of $25. I checked the lineup a little before lock time and forgot about it. It wasn't until later that night that I checked on it. I seen that I was in 3rd place and thought that it was a good thing and I had won! Well, I didn't win. It was "winner takes all" and I was pretty annoyed and thought to myself, "fuck this, I'm done!" Haha…until May of 2015 when I started playing regularly.
Moral of the story:
Do your due diligence! It was 100% my fault. I accept responsibility. I don't blame anyone or anything else but myself. Sites show the payout structures of their contests. It is your responsibility to take a look at them. There are industry related sites, such as, RotoGrinders and Fantasy Insiders, that go more in depth about the different types of games daily sites have to offer. Point being, information is out there - all you have to do is look.
